Steps for Interviews and Hiring

Continuing the Interview Process

PLEASE NOTE: This step is ONLY for those who have passed the first stage of the interview process. DO NOT complete this step unless you have been directed to do so by Mo’ Motion staff. If you complete this step without Mo’ Motion authorization, you will be responsible for the fees associated with the background check and compliance training.

After Passing the Application and Interview Process

Hiring Process

Once Mo’ Motion staff has reviewed your resume and application, and you have moved through the interview process, it is time to complete the next steps in the hiring process. Do NOT complete these steps unless you have been directed to do so by Mo’ Motion staff.

  • Photo. Be sure to send a headshot for us to include with your bio. Email your picture to our office. office@momotion.org
  • Background Check. Our company policy is that every volunteer and paid contractor in regular contact with the players must complete a background check. Background checks can be done every 1-3 years at Mo’ Motion’s discretion.  
    • Go to this link to complete your Background Check at no cost to you.  You should Register and then when you log in there is a red box for Background Checks.  You click on that and go through all the questions.  The results will be emailed to the office.
  • Safe Sports Act compliance. You will receive instructions from our staff to complete training.

Gym Managers - Hiring Process

Once Mo’ Motion staff has reviewed your resume and application, and you have moved through the interview process, it is time to complete the next steps in the hiring process. Do NOT complete these steps unless you have been directed to do so by Mo’ Motion staff.

  • Paychex Form.  Please complete the two following forms and email them to office@momotion.orgPaychex Direct Deposit Form  IRS W-9 Form

  • Crisis Management Document. Download HERE and review

Completing the Hiring Process

The following steps are ONLY for those who have received an official confirmation of active status as a Mo’ Motion Coach.

Hired Staff - Forms and Documents

Do NOT submit the following information and forms until you have received an official confirmation of your status as a Mo’ Motion Coach.

  • Concussion Course.  Our company policy is that everyone must complete an online concussion course.  Please go to the link here.  http://www.cdc.gov/headsup/youthsports/coach.html
    Click on “More” then on the next screen click on “Launch the Heads Up Course”.  Make sure you get the certificate at the end.
  • First Aid/CPR Certification.  Volunteers and paid contractors must know First Aid/CPR.  If you have a valid certification, please send us a copy.  We will note the expiration date and be sure you are always current.    If you do not already have this certification, please let us know and we will provide the website and instruction for you to complete it online.  Once you complete the course you will receive a certificate and we will keep it in your file.
  • Private Coaching Insurance.  Our general liability policy requires that all of our contractors provide their own coaching insurance.  The best analogy is this:  If a painter comes into your home and there’s a problem, homeowner’s policies will only cover the bigger issue if they have assurance you hired a responsible, insured individual.    
    • If you have your own Coaching Insurance–Please provide a copy of it and we will mark when it expires and put it in your file.
    • If you do NOT have your own Coaching Insurance–There is a link to K&K insurance below for you to buy your own coaching insurance ($360 approx/year).  This insurance you take with you wherever you coach/teach which is an added benefit to you.  So if there is an injury or problem you will have insurance.  We need a copy of this insurance policy in our files.  We will reimburse you half of the cost to get the policy at the start of your season.  Then we reimburse you the remaining half at the end of your season with us.  So that we end up paying for the policy for you.  Click here to go to K&K Private Coaching Insurance

  • Coach Expectations Receipt and Acceptance. Read and electronically sign the following form.
